Undoubtedly one of Quebec’s fastest growing communities in the recent past, the explosion in development has been both residential and commercial. Geographically, VD is located just west of the tip of Montreal, north-west of L’Ile Perrot, and south-central of the Hudson/St-Lazare corridor. The bilingual community boasts shopping, restaurants, and other facilities second to none. The older Dorion part of town is home to huge mature trees, charming homes and a busy village area while the Vaudreuil sector is primarily newer construction projects although some gorgeous character homes dot the lakefront and surrounding streets. People can expect to find plenty of 1st time buyer opportunities ( 5,000-0.000) as well as a generous upgrade market that ranges from 0,000- 0,000+. Waterview/waterfront properties are limited and sell well over $ 400,000. Semi urban lifestyle allows for incredible history, scenic drives and excellent cycling, walking, sporting facilities and programs. There are a number of schools including the well known Cite des Jeunes complex. There are two commuter train stations with ample parking and a new bus service. Travel to the west island by car is about 15 minutes and aprrox 35-40 minutes downtown Montreal.
